Endurance Event FAQ's

The published Supplementary Regulations specific for this event is the key document for this event and all the rules are explained in it. The Supp Regs override every FAQ below which have been made as a guide only and a quick reference. Read the Supp Regs in their entirety before looking at these FAQ's.

I, Adam, take no responsibility in the accuracy of these FAQ's so don't spit it if there is an error in here.

  • Riders are paired with a rider from the opposite class based on their finishing positions in Saturday’s Superpole race. The top Supermoto rider is paired with the last Minimotard rider, the second Supermoto rider is paired with the second-to-last Minimotard rider, and so on.

After the SM – MM teams are determined, Posties are added to a team at random to form teams of 3 (one SM, one MM and one postie). These teams will compete in the Triple Crown Championship.

  • If one class has more entrants than the other, the extra riders will be trimmed, and those without a partner will draw from a hat to determine their partner.

For example, if Supermoto has 15 entrants, and Minimotard has 12. The top 12 SM riders will be paired with the top 12 MM riders such that the top placing SM is paired with the lowest placing MM. The remaining 3 SM riders (who placed 13th-15th) draw from a hat containing all of the MM riders to determine their partner. In this case, some minimotard riders will have two partners.

  • The winners are determined by the team with the most combined laps over each of their 30min class races.

  • The Combined Championship (with Supermoto and Minimoto pairs) and the Triple Crown (with Supermoto - Minimotard and Postie teams) are two separate Championships however all supermoto bikes will be on track at the same time, and then all minimotard bikes will be on track at the same time. (Unless threshold numbers are reached, then they will be split)

  • They will draw a rider partner at random from the opposite class

  • Electronically or by paper tags placed into an upside down hat / helmet / vessel.

  • No refuelling is allowed. If you run out of fuel, that is the end of your race and the number of full laps completed will be your number. You might have to manage outright pace with fuel economy to make it to the end!

  • Riders who did not qualify or race on Saturday, but are racing on Sunday, will be given a grid position based on where they would be expected to be placed on a normal race day. This is 100% at the discretion of the race officials on the day with the aid of the Club Committee’s guidance.

  • In the event two teams have the same number of combined laps, the winner will be the fastest combined time

  • Riders may come into the ride through area for bike repairs however must dismount their bike through the pits. Signs will be erected at the start and end of the pit area determining where riders can mount and dismount their bikes. Refuelling is not allowed and will result in disqualification.

  • Riders who have entered pits for any reason must re-enter the track in a safe manner as to not impede riders already on track or risk a 1 lap penalty.

  • The number of fully completed laps will be noted down. If the race is restarted, grid positions will be determined based on the race positions at the end of the last completed lap.

  • Give the position back as soon as possible. Or risk a 1 lap penalty for every rider overtaken under a yellow flag.

  • Dangerous riding will be penalised by a 1 lap penalty, that is, 1 completed lap is removed from the total number of laps completed post-race.

  • If it is safe to do so, you can push your bike back to the pits. Yellow flags will be waived for safety.

More details can be given either in the Supp Regs or by the officials on the day.

  • Yes. All Supermotos will be out on track at once, then all minimotards then all posties. Riders can enter any class they and the bike they are riding are eligible for.

  • The maximum number of riders allowed on Wanneroo Long circuit is 23 for supermoto and 20 for Minimotard, if the total number of entrants in one class exceeds this number, the class will be split and run across 2 races. The results are still combined. The Officials on the day may also decide to split for other reasons too.

  • Yes. For example, if you have two partners and you combined laps with one partner is 40, and your combined laps with the other partner is 43, you will be placed in the championship individually in both partnerships. This might place you both 2nd and 3rd in the overall standings; riders are eligible to place and podium in multiple positions.
